Bias distorting our world views

⏬ This week´s card is about the fallacy of Bias. Most of the time, we take ourselves based on logic and reasoning, but any Bias betrays our thirst to be factual, correct, and coherent. Most of those Bias have settled in silently passed by our parents, habitat, culture, religion, or even our personality.

There are many others, the list goes on to more than 20, but I’d like to shed some light on the five that I believe are most common or have the most impact on distorting our reality or character. Remember:

✅ Bias is a tendency, inclination, or prejudice toward or against something or someone even if you don’t do it willingly or intentionally. Generally, in a way considered unfair.

✅ Some biases are positive and helpful as they protect you or keep you away from harm or negativity. But many are harmful or have negative energy entangled.

✅ But in most cases, biases are based on stereotypes instead of facts and knowledge of individuals, races, circumstances, origins, and so on. People will discriminate between those who are like them and those who are not.

⏩ Now that you are aware, I recommend you pause for a moment. Make an internal self-assessment and be brutally honest with yourself. There’s no shame in recognizing that some (or all of them) are well-anchored habits. Now that you’re aware, maybe it’s time for a change.
