Make peace with your past

⏬ This week’s card is about the weight we may give to our past and how often we become paralyzed or limited in our present and future, unable to lift the anchor and sail away from moments, periods, or events that undoubtedly marked us.

And for sure, the past can and will shape us. But in what way, what form, and to what extent, it’s up to us to define. We may use it as a catapult for excellence, or we may use it as a chain to keep us stuck on that past.

What do you choose? To use the past as step stones for your future, accept it as a fatality, and let it imprison you for the rest of your days?

✅ Dragging guilt and recurrently picking up those thoughts will only suck your energy.

✅ You can’t change the past, and you don’t need to be defined by it for as much weight as it has on you. You can, and you should reinvent yourself, rise from the ashes.

✅ You may have had a glorious, infamous, or tedious past. But how the rest of your life will be, is up to you to shape it. Today and the days to come. And it doesn’t have to be molded by memories of what was or what has been. That was just the starting point; now, it’s time to change gears.

⏩ Revisit your past as a teacher and a library of knowledge, not as a judge and a punisher.
