My new book is published “Career Path Compass”
I managed my self-sabotage system and impostor syndrome (two great allies that hold us back from growth and expansion).
One saying “how dare you” and “who do you think you are”? The other one was arguing, “the book is not good enough,” “you’re not a writer,” or “watch out the criticism and your image”…
Bring it on, time to face those demons. I’m not playing the tough guy that fears nothing. It’s frightening and uncomfortable to deal with these thoughts. To doubt ourselves and our capabilities, of who we are or what we are allowed to do.
But in the end, it’s all in our hands. We’re the ones — the only ones — that can hold us. Or allow us to dream, to dare, to jump, to try. Many times we succeed. Sometimes we fail. But that’s ok. Just having the courage to face our doubts and fears is a sufficient reason to do it, regardless of the ultimate success or failure.
It’s not about the destination or the end goal on itself. It’s about the ride, the whole journey or process. Beating our fears is priceless, more rewarding than the numbers of copies that will sell. Whenever we jump into something new, some bit of fear kicks in, that’s fine, as long as the excitement is much bigger, this last one will allow you to keep going.
So there you have it, a guide and support for an effective job search and career building.
Work-life balance is a cute slogan. But when work demands more time than any other social activity, you better ensure that the work is also a source of pleasure, fulfillment, and expansion. Otherwise, forget the balance.
Among others, these are some areas covered on this book/guide:
- How do you choose your job or design your path?
- The different challenges as starters or experienced professionals
- Usual mistakes on Job search, applications, and interviews
- Why, how, and when should you change job/role/company
- The impact of digitalization, threats, and opportunities.
- How to stand out as a young professional or experienced hire
- Access to support documents, templates, and best practices
